I am pretty proud of myself! I've accomplished at least one LO a day! I Love scrapping so much!! LOL, I sound like a little kid talking about drawing or dolls. Just ever since my mom passed last year I've kicked this up a notch because I now know how fast everything can change. I'm only 20, birthday coming up on the 26th!! I realized last night that I am quite possibly one of the youngest designers in this entire business. I realized last night too that I have so many years ahead of me, and that me being jealous over computer programs and electronic gizmos with ladies I associate with, is ridiculous. These ladies worked so hard to get where they are, or for some in my situation, their husbands work their butts off for us. I'm only 20 I have to remind myself when I feel myself getting frustrated or when I get my hopes up for a new Digital Rebel. My all time goal for my life, my personal american dream, is to have a Photography Studio and/or Photography Gallery by the time I'm 30. I have 9 years and 26 days left until I turn 30 so I shouldn't feel discouraged!! I get anxious with Brooklynn about mini - beginner photo sessions - but then she's ONLY 21 months old...oh well.... ONE DAY AT A TIME SARAH...ONE DAY AT A TIME...

Soundtrack of My Life :: Challenge at SOTB

I've started a NEW challenge at Scrap Outside the Box! It's called "The Soundtrack of My Life". It's an All About Me album with a twist. Taking inspiration from your favorite CD, or your favorite compilation or songs, or etc. (see the thread, for more ideas, lol) you will be making it into an album. For more information VISIT THIS FORUM. The challenge is 10 weeks and you will be given a posting bonus for each week you participate. The bonuses add up to a kit. A preview of the papers below. The kit is exclusive to this challenge and will not be available in any other way. ALSO, upon completion of the ENTIRE album (all 10 posts), you will be given an ADDITIONAL bonus!

Ok, I've been slacking so bad this week! I should've had this done by yesterday, but I didn't...This is a LO done using Dawn Wilson's Bright Boys kit. It's a LO of my dear baby playing at the park. I could scrap Park photos all day long!

And...I have done another LO with one of Eve's newer kits, Daydream Believer. I had my dear nieces and nephew this weekend and had lots of opportunities for photos. This LO is of my niece Tori Blaze. She's a very smart girl, and she is also very stubborn...well they all are, but she's the leader of the pack.

Well, I heard about this cool thing from my good friend Miriam. It's a neat little slide show used most often for MySpace, but is AWESOME for showing off scrapbook layouts. I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to get a verticle one till I visited my other friend, Sarah's blog.

I think this is some of Katie's BEST work! My absolute FAVE on this CD is the kit - Tradition. I just love the grunge and distressed look to the beautiful papers! I think it's my favorite kit of her PERIOD, well except her Sew Long Kit...that's a classic. So I was one of the lucky ones who got to try out her CD first and here is what I've come up with. I've been tagged by my friend Heidi!! Wohoo!

What were you doing 10 years ago? Well, lol, ten years ago I was ten! My best guess was that I was probably going to school and was in the 5th grade. That's the year I went from mediocre Math to the Advanced Math and stayed there through out the rest of my middle school and high school years.

What were you doing 1 year ago? A year ago I was with my husband filing our taxes. A year ago on the 18th my mom passed away. I was also a Stay at Home mom and had my little Brooklynn who was 9 months old, and only 3 or 4 weeks away from walking. Now I can't get her to stop!

Five snacks you enjoy: Popcorn, Doritos, Fruit (Oranges, Apples, and Grapes), Chocolate anything, primarily 3 Muskateer bars, and lets think...make it a good one, lol, Little Debbie or Hostess Snack cakes (thing is I can't seem to eat them in moderation so I try to avoid those, lol, I've been known to eat a whole box in one day. I don't gain weight from this, but it makes it awfully hard to lose weight, lol.)

Five songs to which you know all the lyrics: Kenny Chesney - There Goes My Life (boy does that song just spell out my life...), Trace Adkins - One Hot Momma (Same with this one...), Anything with 50 Cent or Eminem or Nelly or a lot of other hip hop artists (hey, I'm only 20...), Limp Bizkit - Behind Blue Eyes, Gretchen Wilson - Full Time Job (about being a SAHM)

Five bad habits: Procrastination, I'm SOO lazy, I've got a soft spot for my daughter, I leave pop cans at my desk, I don't return phone calls...I've got many more but I'd be a fool to mention them LOL.

Five things you like doing: Digiscrapping, Photography, Crochet, Play Euchre, Softball, Hanging out with my friends and family, but there is also eating, sleeping, play my music loud and dance while I clean the house! (Did I mention I'm only 20? LOL I do a lot of the things my grandma did...not that there's anything wrong with me, I'm just the oldest young person I know!)

Five things you would never wear, buy or get again: I'm all about giving things a second chance, but I will NEVER buy a cheap little stapler again (long story if you want I'll tell you, but it was all too frustrating), I will NEVER buy any sort of suede sofa and loveseat (two words, TODDLER, lol), hmm...I will never buy cheap photo paper...that's all I can think of...at this moment...

Well my friend saw some of my recent LO's and wanted me to do some for her. She is making a scrapbook for her boyfriend and wanted my help to make a few valentine layouts for her. So I did. I used Heidi Smith's Sassy Diner kit, not necessarily for V-day but it worked very well with the kind of look my friend is into. The second one I used Michelle Raine's Old Valentine kit (Both available in SOTB Store: Sassy Diner Old Valentine)

Here is another LO I did. I used Carrie Stephens' Love Story Paper Pack. I also used a few ribbons and brads from Meredith Fenwick.

I really don't know about Jiffy Scraps (To tell ya the truth, I like using them if they are designed well, but I DISLIKE making them!)

My Self! I am ALWAYS the one behind the camera! I have maybe 5 pics to the total 100 pics I take a month!

I don't know if this is actually a technique but I'm really fond of using LOTS of pictures, I also journal a lot on those LO's I don't use a lot of pictures...

Oh, when I paper scrapped, I cut my thumb with scissors! But now it's basically just headaches and neck pains.

OTT of Scrappin' - WHO DEY!!

Four football fans go rock climbing one afternoon, a Bengals fan, a Browns fan, a Steelers fan, and a Ravens fan. They had been arguing all the way up the mountain about who among them was the most "die-hard"
fan.

Upon reaching the top of the mountain, the Ravens fan proclaimed to the other four......"This is for the Baltimore Ravens!" and promptly threw himself off the mountain as a form of sacrifice.

Not to be outdone by a Ravens fan, the Browns fan jumped up and said..."This is for the Cleveland Browns!" and then threw himself off the mountain again as a form of sacrifice.

Refusing to be outdone by the Ravens and Browns fans, the Bengals fan rose to his feet and yelled at the top of his lungs "This is for the Cincinnati Bengals!" and without any hesitation, pushed the Pittsburgh Steelers fan off the mountain.

My best friend krista sent me that....too funny!!

My First Post - Update on myself and what's coming up...

Well...Thanx to my friends at Scrap Outside the Box, I now officially have a Digiscrappin' Blog! I love this idea. It lets everyone know what's coming up with myself and Scrap Outside the Box.

I really don't quite know what to put up yet. I'm still on dial-up so Managing this sort of stuff is excrutiatingly slow!

I'm moving to KY next weekend and I will officially have Cable Internet again on January 30th, so I'm planning on being BACK IN BUSINESS on the FIRST of FEBRUARY!! THANK GOODNESS!

I see that the recurring crop/chat I started is continuing - Designer Out of the Box! Great news! And I see that we have not run out of wonderful designers to spotlight even better news!

I also want to congratulate the 2 winners of the Designer Apprentice, Scrappin & Latte_mama. I hope you enjoy your 'apprenticeship'.

So with this short little bit, I'll leave you now so I can PAINFULLY start constructing my blog more!
